Thanks for Visiting my Online Yard Sale!

This just seems to be the easiest way to get the info out there, without bombarding people with endless lists =)  You can use the links to the right to browse through what I have for sale and if you would like something, please contact me.
You will probably notice that there are not any prices.  Frankly, I don't need any of this stuff, it is just taking up room in my house!  So I really want it out of here, please pay me what you think it is worth or what you can afford (I like fresh eggs and fresh tomatos and fresh corn and fresh green beans)

Barter or trade, I'm game!

Happy Shopping and thanks again for visiting my online yard sale =)

This week's savings

This weeks coupon inserts are the Proctor and Gamble money saver insert - they are good coupons if you use those brands - but not so much if you don't.

I will definately be clipping the $1 off tide and waiting for a good advertised sale to price match with that.

Other than that I don't use many of these brands, but here are some good deals in the local ads

Save your coupons week to week

Why should I save my coupons?

Easy - because you might need them next week.

I save coupons for about 2 months - 8 weeks - after they come out - now I don't clip all of them at once, but sometimes I will go back through the old ones and find great deals - which I will post on here =]

So if you still have the coupons from 3/21 - dig em out for some deals

Again - to price match and get double coupons you have to go to Meijer's

Edwards Pie – Price Match to this weeks Wal-mart ad for 5.00 – then use $.75 off coupon which will double.  - Great store bought pie for $3.50 - I am taking mine to Easter at my mom's.

Pantene Shampoo and conditioner – Price match at 4.00 each to Family Dollar – and use $2 off 2 coupon from last week.  This is shampoo and conditioner for $6.00 ( a good deal if this is your brand)

Lysol Neutra Air – save 1.50 on 1  - This was also out last week and will probably result in a free or almost free can of lysol - but I just didn't want to make the trip up there for one thing.

Hope you find these useful
Happy shopping

Save your money

Last year sometime a friend of mine told me that they could not believe what their family spent on groceries. I whole heartedly agreed that prices were out of control and it seemed inflation was taking off in our small town. Inevitably they told me how much they had spent the previous month on their food bill and I WAS SHOCKED!

With a family of 5, including 3 boys with voracious appetites, I don't think I have ever spent $800.00 on groceries in a single month, EVER. In fact we spend about half that - and I am starting this blog to explain how - you too, can slash your grocery bill in half with just a few easy tricks.
Today's tip - get the Sunday paper and the Advertiser or grocery store ads. The Sunday paper can cost a few dollars - but the coupons inside will more than make up for the cost of a paper. Maybe you already get the paper - if so - GREAT, this won't cost you another dime.
You should see at least 2 coupon inserts, along with ads for several stores - check before you buy if you are not a subscriber - One coupon insert should say "Red Plum" the other "Smart Source"  You may be able to find many of these coupons online at the Redplum and Smart Source websites - the links are on the side of this page.
First- go through and clip coupons for the items you will probably need to buy before the coupon expires.
Now sit down with all of those ads - Wal-Mart, Target, Rite Aid, CVS, Walgreens, Odd Lots and Kmart. Go though these ads and look for items that are on a really good sale that you will need to buy this week only.
DO NOT throw away the coupons that you did not clip out - file them and save them - I will tell you why next week. ;-)

Meijer - 21st street in Newark - has price match AND double coupons - so sometimes you can find an item you need on sale somewhere and a coupon for that item - by shopping at Meijer you will save by price matching and using the coupon - I usually only do this if it is a very good deal (i.e. FREE) and I have a few items to do this with - yes the cashier will look at you like you are crazy but - when you walk out with a couple of bags full of free stuff, you won't really care. By price matching the things you need anyways - and adding the coupons - you will save a bundle!
Next tip - Look for coupons that match with sale items - I found 4 very good ones this week - and shop at a store close to you that will price match - these would all have to be done at Meijer’s

ALL of the coupons listed are found in the Red plum or Smart Source inserts today

1.) BIZ detergent - Save 3.00 on any size liquid Biz detergent coupon
Biz 50oz liquid detergent is advertised 2/$5 in the Odd lots ad today as well - this is a FREE detergent, plus possible money maker - yes you can make money on coupons. When you shop buy what you need, and make sure your total is more than the total of the coupons - most stores will credit the full $3.00.

2.) Betty Crocker coupon "save $0.75 when you buy both cake mix and frosting, any variety - Meijer's will double this saving you $1.50 and you can price match the Walgreens Ad for this week where the cake mix and frosting are $1.00 each - so you get cake mix and frosting for $0.50

3.) TWO coupons - Save $1.00 on one and a save $2.00 on two when you buy Kellogg’s raisin bran extra 14oz or larger - combine this with a price match from the CVS ad - Kellogg's raisin bran 2/$4 (some cashiers might be picky about this one) and get 3boxes of cereal for $3.00

4.) Big Red Soda Coupon - get 1 free bottle of BIG RED soda when you buy 2 dozen eggs - Price match your eggs with the Target Ad at 0.99 per dozen large grade A eggs (any brand)

You might not think this is worth a trip to Meijer’s but lets see what shakes out

You get a 50oz detergent, cake mix and frosting, three boxes of cereal, 2 dozen eggs, and a bottle of pop for (drum roll please..............................)
$5.00 - plus tax on the detergent and soda
(maybe 5.50 if they won't let you have the full value of the detergent coupon)
For me this is worth the trip, I will just keep my coupons in the car and stop when I am in the area anyways.
Happy Saving
